Birthday wishes

My beautiful daughter celebrates her 25th birthday today. Happy Birthday. The weekend has been relaxed and fairly quiet. Friday was spent doing the washing and surfing the net. On Saturday we watched the warm up to the Malaysian Grand Prix and on Sunday i planted a number of bulbs and irises. We watched the first 8 laps of the grand prix before heading to Bunbury to watch a movie. We saw the Most Excellent Marigold Hotel which I loved. Dame Judy Dench is still one of the best actresses on the big screen. There are only 2 weeks left of school before the Easter break. I bet it will be here before you can blink.

Grand Prix Sunday

Today motor racing reigns supreme in my house. The grand prix will be run this afternoon and we have watched the build up and the supporting races. Yesterday I managed to have a break, by escaping to Chookscraps for a midnight madness crop. We had four scrappers spread all over the tables. I did all four challenges using some of the photos I printed on Friday. My UK album is coming along. I think I need a second album as it is over full. This morning I made some scones which were quickly disposed of and I also made a pot full of pumpkin soup which we have just eaten for lunch. My DH has been having withdrawal symptoms as I have not done any baking since pre Christmas. I have continued to stick to my diet which does not allow bread and baked goodies. Today I will bake some banana bread and some chocolate chip cookies to stop the complaints. I am only looking after his waistline.

March Madness

March started with a looong weekend away with Chookscraps friends. The weather was perfect and the venue gets bettereach time we visit. The sofa beds on the ground floor were a great addition. The shop was packed when i arrived to help, so i had an early night with family before packing my bag for retreat. It was great to catch up with Chooks from all over Australia. I also managed to do some scrapping and caught up with my CCCC which is Chook scraps Christmas Card Challenge. I also managed to avoid carbohydrates and still ate well. It is such a treat to be waited on , with no cleanup. I will post some photos when i have downloaded them.
